LOOL programs are fully funded through private donations and partnerships — allowing schools to participate at no cost.

On behalf of my facility, I voluntarily commit to participate in the Lunch Out of Landfills (LOOL) Food Recovery Program for a minimum of two (2) years and agree to the following:

We will implement and operate Share Tables and, where approved, Recovery Refrigerators.
Our facility retains full responsibility for daily operations, food safety, and compliance.
All recovered food remains under the custody and control of the facility or governing authority.
LOOL does not handle, store, or distribute food and does not operate food service programs.
Equipment deployment is dependent on funding availability and approvals.
Typical deployment timelines are 30–45 days (not guaranteed).
If provided, recovery refrigerators will be maintained in working condition.
We will provide aggregate, non-identifiable data for program measurement and impact reporting.
LOOL's role is limited to program design, coordination, education, funding facilitation, and measurement support, and assumes no operational liability.
